Nicholas Armitage grew up in Brisbane before heading to the United States in his 20s to train at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa — one of the most respected chiropractic institutions in the world. After completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and spending a year working in Chicago, he returned to Brisbane and opened Hawthorne Chiropractic in 2002.
Over more than two decades in practice, he has worked with patients of all ages and with a wide range of conditions — from acute injuries to long-standing chronic pain. He is particularly known for his thorough approach: nothing gets adjusted until he understands exactly what’s happening and why.
The conditions he most commonly treats include lower back pain, neck pain and stiffness, sciatica, tension headaches and migraines, shoulder and upper back pain, and postural problems.
